• We do not collect names, phone numbers, or emails to build a profile — unless you write to us.
• We do not store server IPs, SSH keys, or passwords.
• We do not relay your traffic or operate proxy nodes.
• We do not run cross-app advertising tracking, and we do not sell personal data.

A language preference may be stored in a cookie (chinanet_locale) on your browser so the same language comes back next time. Speed checks and the plan quiz run locally in your browser. Probes send requests to public sites (for example WeChat or Google endpoints) to see whether this network can open them. We cannot see your quiz answers.

Diagnosis, the quiz, and recent results stay on this iPhone (local storage). The app only measures reachability and uses coarse location on-device to tell whether you are inside or outside mainland China. It does not collect, store, or upload identity information or server credentials. Location is never uploaded.

During diagnosis the phone sends probe requests to a short list of public sites. That measures latency and reachability. It does not send your identity to us.

This product is meant for adults traveling to China. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
