What is Just My Socks?

Just My Socks (JMS) is a ready-made overseas route run by BandwagonHost (IT7 Networks), a long-running server company. You don’t rent or set up a server. You pay monthly, copy one link, and paste it into the official Jamjams↗ app. They look after the servers. RoamChina doesn’t sell it or switch it on for you.

It takes a few minutes: buy a monthly plan, copy your link from Services → My Services, paste it into Jamjams, turn on Smart routing, then tap Connect. Nothing technical to install. The provider says it swaps out blocked servers automatically, so there’s little for you to look after — though no service can promise every app works every minute. Our reference price is about US$5.88 per 30 days, not a live quote. Payment options and refund windows are on the provider site↗.

On iPhone, use the official Jamjams app rather than a random one. Turn on Smart routing so WeChat, Alipay and maps connect directly while Google and WhatsApp go the overseas way. Menu names can change between versions. Install Jamjams and buy the plan before you fly — the Just My Socks website is often hard to open from China. Then follow the step-by-step setup.

It isn’t mobile data — it works on top of hotel Wi-Fi or your eSIM. Check how much data is included and how many devices can use it at once, especially for a group. Servers can still get blocked now and then; the provider replaces them. Keep your link private, like a password. Some links on this site are affiliate links; that doesn’t change what we recommend. Technical and want your own server instead? Read ready-made vs your own server, then choose a plan.
