Compare networks and websites to narrow down the problem.
At a glance
One timeout does not reveal the cause. Try other websites, then compare Wi-Fi with mobile data.
Different causes look the same
A page that will not load could be a hotel login page, a weak signal, a blocked site, an expired VPN, or the service itself being down. Each one looks like a spinning wheel.
Change one thing at a time
Open a Chinese site such as baidu.com, then try the same page on mobile data. If you use a VPN app, compare it off and on. Changing many settings at once makes the cause harder to find.
Write down what you see
Note the app name and the exact error, then run the network check. On a work phone, ask your IT team before changing VPN or network settings.
